The Haohan Qiao, Brave Men's Bridge has been opened in Shiniuzai National Park in central Hunan Province of South China. The Brave Men's Bridge is the latest in a series of glass-floored attractions to open in China and the rest of the world, spanning 300 meters and suspended 180 meters (590 feet) above the ground. Despite it's terror-inducing appearance, the creators say the bridge is perfectly safe.

Each of the glass panes are said to be 24 milimeters thick and 25 times stronger than normal glass. Workers who constructed the bridge claim that it's safe even if tourists are jumping on it, and that the steel frame is densely built so even if the glass breaks, travelers won't fall through.

Haohan Qiao was originally a wooden bridge until the park decided to experiment by replaceing a small section of the bridge with glass in 2014. They then decided to revamp the whole overpass this year, to increase the thrill, making it China's first all-glass suspension bridge..

Hunan is planning to open another glass bridge this year in the Zhangjiaije Grand Canyon area, about 300 kilometers (186 miles) northwest of Shiniuzhai. When completed, the Zhangjiajie structure will become the world's highest and longest glass bridge of 430 meters long and 300 meters high.
